Get to know Chef Woods

Chuck Woods was born and raised in Kansas. He attended the University of Kansas followed by the popular Culinary Program at Johnson Community. After falling in love with the cuisine, Chef Woods relocated to fast pace downtown Chicago in search of making a name for himself under world renowned mentors.


Chef Woods served his delicious meals at various Chicago restaurants – such as: The Girl and The Goat, Trench and Tied House Chicago. Working alongside amazing chefs such as Stephanie Izard (James Beard winner and Bravo’s Top Chef Winner) during his time at The Girl and The Goat.


A few years after planning to move closer to family, the idea of Falling Rabbit was born. After taking much time choosing the location in Downtown Duluth, Falling Rabbit opened its doors in 2020.


Creating his dream restaurant from the ground up alongside wife, Barbara "Babs", a restaurant rooted in "family, community and hospitality" was born. Chef Chuck simply loves cooking for people. That passion can be seen and tasted in his imaginative and ever-changing menu.


From the already "famous" crab salad to the rabbit croquet - Falling Rabbit has gained the attention of the many Atlanta Foodies. If you have yet to taste what everyone is talking about, come on in!
