We tumbled down the rabbit hole and landed in foodie wonderland at Falling Rabbit! Tucked into Duluth’s historic former parsonage of the First Baptist Church - over 100 years old and tied to the downtown cemetery’s storied past - this family-owned gem is a whimsical delight with playful art, bold wall designs, and unique lighting fixtures that spark a one-of-a-kind vibe.

Chef Chuck Woods, who honed his craft under Stephanie Izard at Chicago’s Girl & The Goat, crafts a small, rotating $85 prix fixe menu that’s pure magic. The salmon was silky and divine, and the Wagyu ribeye (an à la carte treat) melted in my mouth - every bite a knockout. The service is phenomenal, with a personal touch like dining with friends who truly care. The cozy, quirky space wraps you in charm, and that bar, with its tempting cocktails, has my wife and me eager to return for the fun.

Falling Rabbit isn’t just dinner - it’s a joyful, delicious escape bursting with creativity. Run to this wonderland!

The manager is absolutely amazing always making sure that we were comfortable. The food was incredible. Then entire staff was super kind and useful and dealing with Mary the owner was a pleasure. She made absolutely the entire process and organization of this event very swift.

We can’t wait to continue having our events at MRI Imaging Specialist and The Falling Rabbit because it’s just the best!

Enjoyed cocktails and dinner at Falling Rabbit! I'm always looking for a uniue and delicious food experience and this was definitely that. Comfortable fine dining outside of the perimeter with a seasonal rotating menu. To our happy surprise they had some happy hour specials going on when we arrived for an early dinner. Just a really cool place. I'd love to go back. Our server Crystal was fantastic too!

I have now started, erased, and rewritten this review about a half dozen times. The problem is that with each version I write, no matter how glowing or eloquent, my words still do a disservice to this absolutely one-of-a-kind dining experience. Simply put: I've been fortunate to dine at multiple Michelin and James Beard award winning restaurants around the U.S., and I believe that Falling Rabbit is one of the top restaurants in the entire country. The dishes are so complex and creative, it's impossible to find a weakness on the menu. Everything we tasted (from the roasted oysters, to the scallops, to the fresh summer truffle pappardelle) was absolutely delightful, but the soft shel crab mole on the summer squash appetizer probably stole the show. Even the cocktails are inventive, and rounded out the total dining experience perfectly. No matter how good a restaurant's dishes are, I believe that the longest lasting impressions are cemented by exemplary service, and Falling rabbit has that in spades. Deja L was our guide for the evening, and she did a wonderful job of thoughtfully suggesting dishes and pointing out interesting tidbits about the way the items were prepared. Every single member of the team that we interacted with was fun, helpful, and treated us with a smile, and I'm of the opinion that level of hospitality is something that only the truly elite restaurants can bottle. What Chuck, Babs, and the rest of their team have created in Duluth is so utterly unique, delicious, and completely unexpected. Having dinner at Falling Rabbit is like seeing the Beatles play a private backyard concert before they became famous: afterwards, you can't help but realize you stumbled upon something truly special. This restaurant has a ton of fanfare headed its way, and I cannot wait to watch the accolades and awards pile up. Thank you for a evening!
